Starting October 26, 2026, Qualpay requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) for every user who signs in to Qualpay Merchant Manager. If you have already set up MFA, no action is needed.
Why is Qualpay requiring MFA?
MFA provides an additional layer of protection to safeguard your account and sensitive payment data against unauthorized access.
When does MFA become required?
MFA is required starting October 26, 2026. After that date, anyone who has not set up MFA must do so at their next sign-in to access their account.
Who is affected?
Every user who signs in to Merchant Manager. Each person needs their own login and must set up MFA on that login. If someone on your team does not have a login yet, a user administrator on your account can create one.
MFA does not affect API or ISV (independent software vendor) integrations. It applies only to Merchant Manager sign-ins.
Which MFA methods can I use?
How do I set up MFA?
To set up MFA:
- Sign in to Merchant Manager.
- Click the down arrow at the top right of the page, click User Profile, and then click Security.
- Find your preferred MFA method and click Update (SMS Authentication or Virtual Authenticator) or Add Key (Security Key/Biometric). Then follow the prompts to finish setup.
Set up MFA before October 26, 2026, to avoid interruptions to your access.
What happens if I don't set up MFA by October 26?
You will need to set up MFA at your next sign-in. You cannot access your account until setup is complete.
What if I lose access to my MFA device?
Your user administrator can remove MFA from your login so you can set it up again. If you cannot reach a user administrator, contact Qualpay Support.
This applies if your phone is lost, stolen, or destroyed, or your security key (such as a YubiKey) is lost or damaged, and you can no longer get your MFA security code. After MFA is removed, you set it up again the next time you sign in.
